“Purify Your Church” – by David Bolton

~ ~ ~

From every tribe and nation
You’ve redeemed a people all Your own
From Your wounded bleeding side
You have formed Your holy bride
Now Your Spirit is preparing her
To come and share Your throne

Lord, purify Your church
Wash us with Your Word
Prepare us, Lord Jesus
For the day you return
Purify Your bride
Draw us to Your side
Make us holy, blameless, and glorious
In Your eyes

On the Day that You appear
We shall be like You
We shall ever see You face to face
And even now our hearts do burn
With the hope of Your return
To be purified, a spotless bride
Ready for the Wedding Day

Lord, purify Your church
Wash us with Your Word
Prepare us, Lord Jesus
For the day you return
Purify Your bride
Draw us to Your side
Make us holy, blameless, and glorious
In Your eyes

For the Marriage of the Lamb is drawing nigh
When Your bride shall be seated at Your side
In garments pure and white
In splendor and in might
Forever exalted to the throne of the Most High

Lord, purify Your church
Wash us with Your Word
Prepare us, Lord Jesus
For the day you return
Purify Your bride
Draw us to Your side
Make us holy, blameless, and glorious
In Your eyes

  1. Amen. Beautiful. PTL. Thank you for posting this. It has been a blessing for me to read this. May the Lord bless your son and lead and guide him in his life and ministry as he follows in His footsteps! God bless you.

Thank you so much, Hajnalka, for your comment. I will pass it on to Evan as well. It is a blessing to see how God is working in his life, and the doors that are opening to bring the gospel to many desperate places. Your prayers are much appreciated.
